How AKENO protects your download

Ed25519 release signature

Every release is approved with an Ed25519 signature. This page shows a release only after its signature, expiry date and download addresses were checked.

Algorithm
Ed25519
Key ID

Valid until
Nov 25, 2026

The AKENO updater installs only releases with a valid signature and a matching SHA-256 checksum and size.

Check the SHA-256 checksum

After the download, compare the checksum in PowerShell with the value shown above:

Get-FileHash .\AKENO-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

Run the command in the folder that contains the file. The command for the portable ZIP is under advanced download options.

What does Authenticode mean?

This Windows installer is not verified by a publisher certificate. AKENO verifies its own releases with Ed25519 and SHA-256. Windows security warnings remain unchanged.

Authenticode is the publisher signature that Windows checks for programs. It requires a code-signing certificate issued to the publisher.

Without it, Windows SmartScreen may warn about an unknown publisher when you start the installer. Compare the SHA-256 checksum first; continue only if it matches the value on this page.

In the portable ZIP, 0 of 356 program files carry a verified publisher signature.
