CAREFUL: FAKE, MALICIOUS COPIES OF DLSS5-FEEDER EXIST
=====================================================

The ONLY place this project is published is:

    https://github.com/jlrouzies-fr/DLSS5-Feeder/releases

A release there contains exactly the files listed on the release page:
DLSS5-Feeder-<version>.zip, this notice, and AUTOMATIC_INSTALLATION_AVAILABLE.txt.
Nothing else on the internet is a release of this project, whatever it is named.

WHAT THE FAKES LOOK LIKE
------------------------

* Websites offering a ZIP with a name like "DLSS5-Feeder-v0.7.0.zip" (issue #88).

* Copies of this repository on GitHub itself: same source tree, but the README
  replaced by a "Download" button that leads to a ZIP hosted on a personal
  github.io page, described as "double-click to run, it detects your game"
  (issue #115).

This project has NO executable installer. The automatic install is a
PowerShell script (Install-DLSS5Feeder.ps1) that you can open and read before
running it. Anything that asks you to double-click an .exe to "install DLSS 5"
is not from here.

HOW TO CHECK WHAT YOU DOWNLOADED
--------------------------------

1. The download came from github.com/jlrouzies-fr/DLSS5-Feeder/releases.
2. Its SHA-256 matches the one printed on that release page:
       Get-FileHash <file>          (in PowerShell)
3. If you got a ZIP from anywhere else: delete it and run a full antivirus scan.

The genuine release zips are scanned on VirusTotal; look the SHA-256 from the
release notes up at https://www.virustotal.com/gui/ . Example, the
1.16.0-beta.2 zip:
    https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/b6c2a5a5e69812a91b10edb1fc84617caef4becf163b7f87960af1a802f25e0d

ANTIVIRUS WARNINGS ON A GENUINE FILE
------------------------------------

If Windows Defender flags a file whose hash DOES match the release page, it is
a false positive. Submit it at
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/filesubmission
so it gets cleared for everyone. Details in the README, section
"What this project actually ships, and antivirus warnings".
